Supporting Green Palm Oil

As part of our latest sustainability drive, Ginsters has linked with the Green Palm initiative to support the production of sustainable palm oil in Papua New Guinea.

Ginsters is the first savoury pastry brand in the UK to have done this.

Ginsters has entered into a relationship with one of the region’s main producers to ensure that, for every tonne of palm oil used in its savoury pastry range, financial support goes to the people and environment within Papua New Guinea. This means the more pasties you buy, the more pasties we make, and the more help they get!

This helps to promote the growing of palm oil in an environmentally responsible manner and it means that growers can earn more for a crop that is sustainably sourced and responsibly farmed.

In this way, we hope that we are helping to promote responsible sourcing – not only at home, but now also abroad.
